About Ifacho

"Ifacho"

In the Igbo language of Nigeria "Ifacho" means "I've found what I have been looking for. Or simply "This is what I want". I'm sure singer/pianist Ifacho is what you have been looking for in an artist. She is a unique blend of urban cool pianist meets retro gospel singer with a touch of Randy Crawford.
She left college with a degree in Biology and headed to the New School Jazz program. Why? Because music was calling her name day and night. For two years she had the great fortune to study with trumpeter Cecil Bridgewater, saxophonist Donald Harrison and pianist George Cables.
After performing on cruise ships and 5 star hotels around the world she has "settled down" in Brooklyn to teach gospel choirs. In her spare time she writes songs in the key of life and leads the Jazz Essence ensemble. The artist that you have been looking for "Ifacho" has arrived. Stay tuned.
